Fabric Care

Our pieces are made from natural fabrics such as cotton, cotton-linen blends, and pure linen. Proper care will help your garments maintain their shape, colour, and longevity.

Washing

  1. Hand wash is recommended to preserve the fabric.
  2. If using a washing machine, select a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water.
  3. Use a mild, colour-safe detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, which can weaken fibers and affect colour.
  4. Do not soak for long periods, especially for dark or vibrant colours, to prevent fading.
  5. Wash dark and light colours separately to avoid colour transfer.

Drying

  1. Do not wring the garment. Gently squeeze out excess water.
  2. Lay flat on a clean towel or hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or distortion.
  3. Avoid tumble drying, as heat can shrink or damage natural fibers.

Ironing

  1. Iron on low to medium heat, preferably while the garment is slightly damp.
  2. Turn the garment inside out to protect the surface of the fabric.
  3. For linen or linen-blend items, a steam iron may be used to remove wrinkles effectively.

Storage

  1. Store garments in a cool, dry place.
  2. Keep fabrics away from direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent fading.

Natural Fabric Characteristics

  1. Shrinkage: Natural fabrics like cotton and linen may shrink slightly after the first few washes.
  2. Texture changes: Linen and cotton-linen blends may soften and develop a natural texture with wear.
  3. Minor imperfections: Small irregularities, variations in colour, weave, or thread are natural characteristics of these fabrics and part of their charm.
  4. Colour fading: Slight fading over time is normal and does not indicate a defect. Proper washing and storage can help minimize this.
